Comrade Ogbaloi, K S E, Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), received the prestigious Edo State Politician of the Year 2023 award at a notable event organized by the Leadership and Development Initiative organization. Attended by influential figures in Edo State, the ceremony aimed to inspire leaders and advocate for good governance and impactful development.
The project coordinator, Mr. Duke Okosun, emphasized that the award was conferred upon Comrade Ogbaloi for his transformative leadership, administrative prowess, and a non-antagonistic approach that propelled the Edo State Labour Party to prominence in Nigerian politics.
In response, Comrade Ogbaloi expressed gratitude, assuring the organizers that the honor would motivate him to sustain and enhance the existing all-inclusive leadership style for further development and transparency.
Dedicating the award to the Labour Party, the Obedient family, and ordinary Edo residents who steadfastly supported the party’s resurgence, Ogbaloi encouraged the people to remain resolute and focused as the Governorship Election approaches. He promised that the party is tirelessly working to present a candidate committed to delivering good governance.
Appealing to the electorate, Ogbaloi urged them to reserve their votes for the Labour Party candidate, emphasizing the commitment to bringing the dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.
Comrade Ogbaloi, born in the early sixties, shared his educational and professional journey, detailing his involvement in labour activism since 1986. A fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration, he holds diplomas and degrees in Public Administration, Political Science, and Comparative Politics and Development Studies.
Elected Chairman of the Edo State Labour Party in 2015, Ogbaloi’s tireless and pragmatic efforts have repositioned the party, attracting high-profile aspirants for the upcoming Governorship election. His unique leadership style earned him a one-year extension as Chairman in April 2023, demonstrating his commitment to focusing on the Governorship race.
Comrade Ogbaloi K S E’s outstanding contributions have garnered him several awards, including “The Integrity Icon of Nigeria,” “Award of Excellence” by the Global Forum for Peace, Justice, and Human Rights, and “Award of Honors” by the Edo Policy Round Table. Beyond his political endeavors, he is also a successful family man.
