BREAKING: Heightened Security Measures at Edo State Government House, GRA Benin City

In a recent development at the Government Reservation Area (GRA) of Benin City, heightened security has been put in place at the Government House in anticipation of the anticipated return of Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu on Monday.

 

Various security agencies, including the police, Department of State Services (DSS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel, have been deployed to maintain peace and order. Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC) have also been stationed to deter any potential disturbances.

 

Access to the Government House has been restricted, with vehicles stopped at the first gate. Staff, journalists, and visitors have been requested to proceed on foot while leaving their vehicles behind. Stay tuned for further updates as the situation unfolds.
