Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has resigned from his position with immediate effect, citing urgent family medical issues.
In a statement, Ngelale explained, “On Friday, I submitted a memo to the Chief of Staff to the President, notifying that I am proceeding on an indefinite leave of absence to address medical matters affecting my immediate family.”
Ngelale acknowledged the significance of stepping away from his crucial roles, which include Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Official Spokesperson of the President, Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.
He added that the decision was reached after days of consultation with his family, due to the worsening medical situation at home.
