The World Safety Organisation (WSO) will be decorating Comrade Festus Alenkhe, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, as a ‘2023 WSO SafERR Africa Ambassador.
The decoration ceremony will take place on November 8, 2023, at the Lagos Chamber Of Commerce And Industry, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos during the World Safety Organisation (WSO) SafERR Africa Investiture, Summit and Award event.
This year’s event is themed “HSSE: Past, Present and Future” and will bring together safety experts, business professionals and government officials from various African countries to discuss and share ideas on improving safety standards. The event will also include the presentation of awards to individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to safety.
In a letter dated September 5, 2023, Dr Soji Olalokun, the Country Director of World Safety Organisation, Nigeria and Ambassador Wilson Arikpo, the Governor General of SafERR Africa Ambassador, conveyed the notice of the decoration to Comrade Alenkhe.
The World Safety Organisation (WSO) is an international body present in over 100 countries promoting safety in all areas.
As a respected figure in the journalism community, Festus Alenkhe’s decoration as a SafERR Africa Ambassador is well-deserved.
