The Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) recently conveyed its warmest felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II on the occasion of his 7th coronation anniversary.
The congratulatory message was duly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the union, Comrade Festus Alenkhe and Andy Egbon, expressing their heartfelt greetings to the monarch and wished him a long reign filled with fruitful years on the throne.
The statement also acknowledged the peaceful state in which the kingdom currently exists and commended Oba Ewuare II for his efforts in outlawing Community Development Associations.
The union recognizes the Oba as a Life Patron of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists who has always provided unwavering support to journalists in their line of work. This recognition is well-deserved as he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to ensuring that journalists are able to carry out their duties without fear or intimidation.
The statement prayed God Almighty grants the monarch more wisdom to continue his Administration over Benin Kingdom.
