The Edo State Union of Journalists celebrated Dr. Osahon Enabulele, the immediate past President of the World Medical Association (WMA), for the successful completion of his tenure. Dr. Osahon Enabulele held the prestigious position as the 74th President of the World Medical Association, making history as the first African and Nigerian to be elected as President of the WMA.
Comrade Festus Alenkhe, the Council Chairman of the Edo State NUJ, expressed appreciation for Dr. Osahon Enabulele’s outstanding service, acknowledging his contributions that brought pride to the people of Edo. He emphasized the apolitical nature of journalism and the unwavering support of Edo Journalists in celebrating Dr. Enabulele’s accomplishments.
The event included a citation reading of Dr. Osahon Enabulele by the NAWOJ President, Adesuwa Ehimuan of NTA, Benin, and Sharon Ajayi of ITV.
Dr. Osahon Enabulele was presented a merit certificate by the union, symbolizing the deep value and recognition of his achievements. The event was attended by the wife and daughter of immediate past President, a significant number of Edo Journalists and members of the medical community, making it a memorable occasion.
Expressing deep gratitude, Dr. Osahon Enabulele commended the Union for acknowledging and reckoning with him, pledging to continue his benevolent endeavors.
