Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer that affects women worldwide. It is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which can be transmitted through sexual contact. While there are various treatments available for cervical cancer, prevention is always better than cure.

One way to prevent cervical cancer is through vaccination. Edo State Government is calling on parents and school owners to support in this campaign for every girl child aged between 9 and 14 years old to come out and be vaccinated. It’s important to bring them for cervical cancer vaccination of the said age to be protected.

This vaccine has been proven to be effective in preventing HPV infection, which can lead to cervical cancer later in life. By vaccinating your daughters at a young age, you are investing in their future health and well-being.

In Edo state, there will be a cervical cancer vaccination from 25th to 30th September 2023. The vaccines will be available at all Primary Healthcare Centers and General hospitals across the state. This is an opportunity not to be missed – invest in your daughter’s life today and protect her against cervical cancer tomorrow!
